Turning the tables – from contractor to project management
Pertti Hakala had a lengthy career as a contractor before he suited up for a PHS project manager role at Aalto-Setälä. The transition was smooth as the man simply switched seats from one side to another at a familiar “table”.

Quantity and cost surveyors
We’re looking to strengthen our team with quantity and cost surveyors! Tasks include:
- preparation of target price and building component estimates for professional builders
- preparation of cost estimates for construction companies, as well as volume calculations for tendering
Previous experience in similar tasks would be considered an advantage!

Structural engineer
Are you looking for new challenges to solve?
Are you a motivated talent who gets excited providing the best solutions for customers?
And do you want to challenge yourself with among other things engineering and design of mobile structures?
We are looking for structural engineers in house construction projects and new construction and reparation projects in harbor structures and devices.
To successfully navigate the position and its tasks we require structural engineering experience, B.Sc. (Eng) or M.Sc. (Eng) level education and the ability to function independently as well as a part of a team. Competence in modeling and FEM calculation as well as a couple of years of work experience is considered an advantage.
In harbor projects we specialize among other things in quay structures, car ramps and passenger gangways. For harbor projects we require good knowledge of steel structure engineering and design. Experience in steel structure engineering and planning for buildings and plants translates well into engineering and planning of harbor structures and devices.
